Title: Can a 3900 motherboard be upgraded to a 3902?
Post by: ukulele on June 28, 2013, 02:09:08 AM
I have just received an older GameKing with a 13" monitor in it. The Motherboard is a p/n #75703900. Can this be upgraded to a 3902 board and then use I games?

Thank You,

Philip

Do you mean the MPU? P/N 75703900 is just a different revision of the same P/N. of the 3902. There may be small differences in the later P/Ns, but they are minimal. P/N 75703902 is just the most common/plentiful P/N. I have seen 75703901 & 75703903 as well. They are all interchangeable among each other, and if there are differences, they are minute.

Thank you for the information! This is good news. I have two of these machines and will assume that the 3900 board will support I-games.

Philip

Many times, the boards are referred to just as "039" boards, similar to how the "044" boards are referenced.
