Title: IGT S+ Problems after changing Battery
Post by: arcaderecycler on July 01, 2013, 11:17:57 PM
My Wild Cherry slot sat for a while without being played,  when I went to play it I had a #12 battery low error.   I replaced the battery and got a #61 error, I went through the #61 clear process a couple times before it finally cleared.  I think taking out the DBA did the trick.

After all the errors were gone the game would play, but I had a couple issues.

1. If I hit a payout the bell would ring, but the hopper wasn't spitting out coins. The bell would ring until I reset it.
2. The two number displays to the far left were not lit up.
3. The "test" did not do anything when press in regular game mode (It was working when I reset the #61 error)
4, I could not put it in credit mode.

any ideas what to check?   thanks Kevin

Sounds like your hopper setting is at 0, so all pays go to hand pay. Same goes for Credit Mode. If you need help changing these, we would need to know what SP chip your game is running currently.

I'm not familiar with the SP chip,  where is it located?   Kevin

It's on your MPU board. Same board where you changed out the battery.

Here's a pic.

Mine had a home made label and said SP 731.

No biggie. Ok, you have a common SP. You will need to go into the menu and change the settings (or at least LOOK at them). You can familiarize yourself with the menu by reading the document attached in the post below (see Reply #7). The Cover Sheet of the document explains the basic layout of the menus and how to navigate and know what your looking at. Then you'll see a tab for SP731, which will give info specific to your chip.
