Title: Bally 6000 Error 50
Post by: gposing on July 02, 2013, 12:58:27 AM
I just got my first S6000 and hope to get it working again.  I just got my new mains and ram clear chips.  I cleared the ram, put mains back in, wait until the reels init and the 50 pops up.  i was able to trace the orange/black wire that comes from the optic on the cabinet to the J3 connector behind the reels and it is not connected to anything.  Based on the manual it should be in port 30, but there is a wire already there.

One other thing, when I put the reels back in I got a 43 error.  The reel would stop in the correct position, but still got the 43.  did a ram clear and the error went away.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Gary

50 is "Door open"  & 43 is "Reel 3 Error"

Make sure the Cherry switch is working...Take a Ohm meter and check the contact...I just work on one and found the switch to be intermittently bad (not making connection)....Replaced it, works great now....
