Title: S2000 questions Post by: ghetto1971 on July 02, 2013, 02:17:12 PM Just picked up a Big Times Pay machine. Want to change denomination from $25 to $1.
Will I need a clear and key chip or just a key chip b/c going down in denomination. Also, what key chip will I need? Title: Re: S2000 questions Post by: CVslots on July 02, 2013, 03:51:36 PM If you're going to order a Key chip, go ahead and order a Clear as well. You may not need it to change denom down, but good to have on hand in case you want to do any other changes down the road. Clear 97 and Key 31.
Congrats on the new game! :3- :3- Roslyn :71- Title: Re: S2000 questions Post by: cowboygames on July 02, 2013, 04:01:07 PM If your game is multidenom capable you can make it a dollar machine by changing the player denom using a key chip and starting with zero credits on the machine. If it's only single denom you will have to change the accounting denom and will need a clear chip and key chip. Now, one thing that needs to be clear, any time you are setting a denom on a multi denom capable machine which is lower than the accounting denom the machine will need to be cleared first.
Obviously, in your case, you are increasing rather than decreasing so that last bit was just an fyi. Title: Re: S2000 questions Post by: ghetto1971 on July 02, 2013, 06:47:53 PM Thanks for the info cowboy and cv

Title: Re: S2000 questions Post by: ghetto1971 on July 03, 2013, 09:17:23 AM I bought a clear and key chip
Figured I would eventually need both sometime. Title: Re: S2000 questions Post by: timm on July 08, 2013, 12:02:43 PM Also a quick way to set the acct denom is to swap the ram chips on main board or if you have another machne with a lower denom, you can swap the E2 and it will allow you to set it. Good luck. Clear chip when put in will lite one amber lite, keychip will lite 2 amber lites. IF you seed RED, SHUT er' down.
