Title: How I silenced the diverter coin plate and fed all coins into the hopper
Post by: Jeff99 on July 07, 2013, 09:47:23 PM
The hum of the coin diverter coil can be annoying, especially in a quite house.  I was just restoring a machine where the last guy had cut the coil wire among other “fixes”.  My preference is to restore a machine back what it was on a casino floor with all wiring intact.  It just dawned on me that all I had to do was set the micros-switch on the hopper that operates the diverter coil to the open position.  To do this I simply adjusted the collars on the coin level detector to set the ball out of the way of the coins in the hopper and the micro-switch to the open position.  I used a little paper wedge to push the diverter plate back do the coins will always go into the hopper.
Hope this helps,
Jeff

Jeff that a good idea to keep that diverter quiet. No cutting, and easy to reverse if you wanted too..

Karma  :259- to you for this idea..
