Title: Sigma UV1700 Throw the Dough "Loading....Please Wait" Problem Post by: enforcer on July 13, 2013, 04:17:01 PM I hadn't turned my UV1700 Throw the Dough on for months. When I went to start up the machine it hangs on "Loading....Please Wait" Screen. I noticed during the boot up sequence I saw three error messages which all said the following:
"Both primary and backup block CRCs are bad." Any help would be appreciated. Title: Re: Sigma UV1700 Throw the Dough "Loading....Please Wait" Problem Post by: enforcer on July 14, 2013, 04:35:50 PM Success !
Took two Dallas Clear procedures and it finally is back up and running. It was my first time doing a Dallas Clear chip procedure on any machine. Removing boot chip at U51 was a bit nerve wracking, but used sharp corner/point of knife and it did the trick. Chip removal tool was useless. You have to get it right in corner so as not to damage the chip prongs. One thing I learned is that Dallas Clear chip would only go in one way and one way only. Made sure I wrote down orientation of boot chip and clear chip for the future. Check out the coroner of the chip. You will see one is at a angle, that is the top right of the chip. |
