Want to convert b/c not many kit options for a 4 reel machine.  Is it possilble to just install a 3 reel wiring harness and a long reel glass to cover the fourth reel or do I need a 3 reel shelf?  My machine is a S2000 with backlit reels.

Is it a 4 reel machine or 3 reel with 4th reel bonus feature? A 4 reel machine will require a new reel shelf. A 4th reel bonus machine that uses the narrower 2" wide reel I believe can be converted to 3 reel and the window covered without having to change the shelf. You will probably need to change the reel harness and backlight controller in either case

do you progress on your project?

I have a Super Spin Sizzling 7, 3 reels + 1 bonus and I also wondered if the change was possible?

Regardless of glass and symbols, what will happen if I want to change the machine to have a Triple Wild Cherry?

For exemple, if I put a SG000363 + SB100313 + DSV00042 + VS011GX1

Is this going to work or will it change the reels harness ? Is it not possible to just disconnect the bonus reel ?  :103-

Had to get a 3 reel harness and 3  reel deck.  Not hard to switchout and definitely worth it.
Gives you more options when looking for game kits.

That's where the printer usually goes on a three reel machine. If you won't be using the area for that you can probably just cover the window. Seems like they make two different shelves, but I can't remember now :103-

There are two different 3 reel shelf. One for the long reel glass and one for the short reel glass.  The location of the reels is slightly different between them.  But I thought the 3 + 1 configuration was just a standard 3 reel harness and the 4th reel was connected as a netplex device, or was the 4th reel part of the reel harness?

After reading your instructions, I looked at the wiring of my machine. There is a connector for 3 reels + 1 Bonus reel. All these cable are going to the motherboard, and two connectors are going to a card at the bottom right behind the bill validator.

I suppose it is for a 5 reel slot machine, and there is a molex plug on the reel 4 as Magicslots said in it’s link.
So can I keep my reel harness putting a molex plug on the reel 5 ?

OK, 5 reel incandescent harness plus the terminator plug.  I would just get a 3 reel harness.  They don't cost a whole lot, and you'd probably saving yourself some trouble later on.

Concerning the glass, since it will  not be possible to be delivered cause too fragile, I think i will integrate a LCD screen in the top box, with a picture of the paytable, like the Bally S9000 for exemple.

I would use SG00363 for all those.  Why do you want progressive?  As far a the 3 line or 5 line games, they use different reel strips.  I know all the double diamond, triple diamond games are available as multiline games.

To avoid problems, I also ordered a 3 reels harness with backlight.
