Title: Ceronix Picture Location
Post by: ChadStarr1 on March 27, 2009, 04:37:05 PM
I did a cap repair on a Ceronix 1492 and now the picture is off set about 2" to the left and I have the Controller knob that adjust the picture turned as far as it will go has anyone else seen this problem?

Not specific to this monitor but I have seen some settings that when you adjust the monitor so far right it shows up on the left. If you went 80% too far on the right you would have most of your picture show up on the left side. Try adjusting the knob all the way the other direction. The other possibility is you used a wrong cap or have a defective one.

I think I have this manual in my PE+ libary if you need a copy. It should have a list of cap values....

Hi Chad,

Try replacing 230 & 233 (both 1uF, 50V, electrolytics)...these are common failures when the potentiometer can't adjust far enough...

God bless,
