Title: Jurisdiction chip on Game Maker Post by: BonanzaDriver on July 29, 2013, 08:48:03 PM Anyone have information on changing the jurisdiction chip on the Game Maker board? I cannot seem to erase it, so I ordered a new one on ebay and am wondering about whether on not it has to be programed externally? I think someone before me set it to "0" and locked it. Any help or information would be appreciated.
It seems after reading down further I have read another tread on the same subject. Question answered. Hate being the new guy! Title: Re: Jurisdiction chip on Game Maker Post by: BonanzaDriver on August 01, 2013, 05:02:39 PM Ok, ordered the wrong chip as I didn't see the 93c56-sc on the order. I guess the one I need is 93C56N, any thoughts on where to get one of these? I have tried to erase the one I have with my eprom burner, but I keep getting error message about a bad pin or something and it quits. Any thoughts?

I replaced the chip in socket U3 with one of these... see link... and was up and running in no time.

Do I need to copy the old chip to the new one? Thinking I just got a bad new chip. Thoughts/Suggestions?
