Title: Cheap Tokens - Domican Pesos Post by: jay on March 28, 2009, 10:06:23 PM I just got back from the Dominican Republic - Punta Cana ! baby !
When i wasn't drinking my wife was dragging me shopping...... Anyways the local currency is Dominican Peso's - Smallest note I saw was 200Pesos albiet there may be smaller, anything smaller than 200 pesos I received in coin. 1 US dollar = 35 Peso's That means 350 peso's (350 coins) = $10.00 which would make pretty cheap slot tokens... These are much heavier than Japanese paschilo slot tokens, and I am sure if you bought 20 batches at 20 times you would get a consistent metal content which is important for coin comparitors. The paschilos use coin mechs and as long as it is the same size (weight doesn't play a factor) they work. I have 3 series of Pashilo tokens and with the sensitivity dialed all the way down I can only get 2 series to work with the third just falling through. Glad you and your wife had a good trip and a safe journey home. Title: Re: Cheap Tokens - Domican Pesos Post by: a69mopar on March 28, 2009, 10:58:23 PM Ok, this is something that interests me. I could use about 10,000 tokens or pesos. Thanks Jay
Have a great weekend, Wayne Title: Re: Cheap Tokens - Domican Pesos Post by: jay on March 29, 2009, 12:10:32 AM I brought home about 20.... My goal was to see how they ran through the optics and quarter hopper without any kind of mod. The coin is slightly thicker than a quarter but not signficantly so. Much less than say a british pound.

Buy high and sell low, but you make it up in volume. Then when you go broke you blame the government. (Sorry I couldn't resist) :200- |
