Title: Re: SIMM help Post by: Harvs on August 08, 2013, 04:03:59 PM How can some 5R 90 or 180CM games play sound and others can't? Can someone explain this?
Are there certain SIMMS that work while others will not? Or, does it have to do with the SB SIMM combo? :103- Harvs. Title: Re: SIMM help Post by: CVslots on August 08, 2013, 09:09:39 PM Has to do with the chip size I believe. Smaller Coin Max prgrams (like 45CM, and 90CM) left more room on the chip to incorporate sounds. I believe that's what I've read anyway.

I will figure it out somehow, or change the machine to one that does have some type of sound.. Or or or, put a boombox inside the machine on max vol and delete this post. Either way I will have sound..Title: Re: SIMM help Post by: Harvs on August 25, 2013, 12:06:21 PM Thought I'd mention this one last time..
I have the option to buy a Double Diamond Pennies 5R 90CM machine.. It DOES have enhanced sound from what the fella says, and the single vid I found on pootube shows this. What is the reason this machine with 90CM can play the preferred sounds and my TDHotPeppers 90CM can't? Does anyone know what SIMM the DDPennies uses? If I put that SIMM in my TDHotPeppers would it let me select the preferred sound? There has to be a way to use a SIMM in any 45 or 90CM machine.. Right? :277- Thanks, Harvs Title: Re: SIMM help Post by: rickhunter on August 25, 2013, 12:53:50 PM Some SB chip themes do not allow for selection of different reel spin sounds. My Triple Double Diamond 5 reel 45 coin maxbet machine is an example. It doesn't even come up with the menu option to change the Reel Spin Options. I can access de DSV00042 simm through the output tests and can hear every sound, but when I step through the configuration options I don't get to "3.2.6.4".
3.2.6.1 Stereo 3.2.6.2 Attract Time 3.2.6.3 Attract Volume 3.2,6.4 Reel Spin Options This is where you will find the enhanced sounds. Press spin and go in and look around, press max bet to save what looks good to you. 3.2.6.5 Hand Pay Options 3.2.6.6 Roll Up Options Go into this one and look around at the enhanced sounds. I have tried all that with no luck.. Even changed my SB to a 45CM. What 5R themes DO allow enhanced sound? Guess I will have to keep searching for a different kit.. the only enhanced sound really is it plays a special tune when it gets to the bonus spin round. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV5myT5KGg4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV5myT5KGg4) Title: Re: SIMM help Post by: CVslots on August 25, 2013, 04:02:36 PM My Enchanted Unicorn uses a SIMM (I don't know the number, maybe 16 or 17?). It plays a little royal tune on bigger wins. I think when I asked someone about it, they said the 45cm version has the best sounds, as the higher coin bets had fewer sounds.
We have a DSV42 in a TDRH7s machine, and it gives reel spin tune and a little song on wins. The same is in a TDB7 machine with same results. Double Diam Run, as Jimise showed, is decent for sound. We had 3 of those, but in Visions, and I thought, in addition to the bonus round/free spin sounds shown in the video, there were some other special sounds (like Scatter hits, Wilds, and general wins). It's been awhile though, so I could be wrong there. We need idesign here....he def knows 5-reel games, and their sound capabilities. :89- Title: Re: SIMM help Post by: Harvs on August 25, 2013, 04:17:24 PM Thanks for the info Y'all..
I have a DSV42 in the machine and have tried both 90CM and 45CM with the same results.., Zilch!!!! :37- If I could get half the sounds like in the vid RB posted up top I would be happy..
