Title: Complete or not?
Post by: SilverFerret on August 23, 2013, 03:04:21 PM
I purchased what was said to be a complete "Double Diamond 2000" program.
Long story short, it isn't working.
I'm wondering if it was advertised wrong and is supposed to have another SIMM card.
Buzz, this might be a question for you.
Below is the picture from the advertisement.
Thanks, Jim

Can't read the labels, so hard to tell. If you can, add them to your post. You may have received a mismatched component.

I can't read the labels but the count is correct, (3) simms and (3) eproms

I0001109 MD Base
G0001733 Game 1 and 2
C0000927 CGF  Simm
    "         PXL      "
DSS00284  Sound Simm

You may have a different version than the one above, but it's the only version I have.

On the PXL simm make sure the dip switches are ON ON ON OFF.( this won't cause the game not to play but sound simm all dip switches are OFF )  You already know to clean the simm contacts with a eraser.  If all else fails send me the game and I can check the checks sums with the simm and/or the eprom burner.

Jim Whats the game doing ?? You have my phone number.

For a Old broad you take a lot for granted calling me blind !!!!!!!!!!!!  I see just fine, other than the fact that somethings things are just a little blurry. Well maybe more than sometimes. Well maybe more than a little blurry. But I can see GOOD.

When  posted about dip switch setting on simms maybe I should clear that up. First off a game may only have one PXL simm and up to (3) of them. Each PXL simm will have a different dip switch setting, it's my understanding it's those dip switch setting that tells the machine which simm is which. I got these instructions from Eric when I bought the burner and I don't think he will mind my sharing it. But in a nut shell the     first simm (2 of ?) will be ON ON ON OFF
Second simm (3 of ?) OFF ON ON OFF
Third simm ( 3 of 4) ON OFF ON OFF
Sound simm are always all OFF

It was really just a blind joke, but nice to see you took it as an order...Your gonna make someone one helluva husband some day! Apparently, not the current wife, but there's always hope...and theres always the dating sites, like eHarmony or Match.com. Heck, i think theres even one for "mature fellers", like you! I'd advise you to probably not try Christianmingle.com, they would never believe you anyway....

Ok, we're hi-jacking this poor guys thread...

Thanks guys,
My daughter has a computer program with a bunch of IGT slots and we like to play that one together. When I saw it on Rudy's for $50, I couldn't pass it up.
Unfortunately, It's giving me confetti screen when I turn on the machine. Pretty sure I have everything in it's correct location.
Also, the red light is on at the front of the tray.
Might be sending it your way buzz. Maybe you can copy some useful files for yourself, as well as get me up and running.
Thanks, Jim

Confetti screen...usually that's a broken leg on an EPROM or the EPROM legs are not seated properly in the socket.  Backwards perhaps?  Might check em again and reseat them.

No No No I don't think Christianmingle.com  is for me. I shouldn't say this on this forum but I promised more folks pissed off so here goes and this isn't a BS story.

My Wife is a Bible Thumper, when we first got married I went to church with her and couldn't believe what I was seeing. These folks were talking in the tongue and jumping up and down like the Watusi Tribe in Africa. I mean these people was really working them selves into a frenzy. Now I'm looking around wondering how pissed off she's going to get if I walk out, so I stayed to the end. At one point I sat down for the sermon and the Preacher telling me what a low life I am. Nope didn't happen, the only sermon I heard was " We have got to get more members " I guess more members means more money.  I never went back to that Church. The Eagles Nest Church Santa Anna CA.

Sounds like a Pentecostal church. My wife's got a cousin in AL that goes to one of those and the priest at the hospital last year when Uncle Jimmy fell down the steps at the family reunion in ND spoke in tongues. Sounded like a bunch of shit he made up as he went. They can keep it. I was raised Catholic and I thought WE were extreme.

And Uncle Jimmy died, so I guess GOD don't speak the language either

Jason That above statement isn't necessarily chiseled in stone. Just today I was putting together Cops N Donuts using (3) IGT original PXL simms, I noticed that PXLF4  didn't have any dip switches. I thought maybe IGT knew more than I did, so I put it on the board and I got a Confetti screen. This particular board I'm not sure of so moved all the software to a different board and got the same results Confetti screen. Ended up burning a replacement PXLF4 simm and now the game plays fine.

Jason Today I found the perfect game for you, Lock N Roll, it's got to be the worst  I Game that IGT ever made. What a waste of good software. About five minutes of playing that sorry game, simms and eproms went to the eraser.

Steve 300 dollars each seems like a fair price, but let me ask you how much do you get for a Chop Top I Game like say Hexbreaker, Hoot Loot, Little Green Men, something along those lines ??

I would rather not comment about the folks in North Carolina. I try not to piss people off on a Sunday, tomorrow I could care less. I was in North Carloina once for a NASCAR race. Stayed in a Motel 6 in Winston Salem, NC  had to be the first Motel 6 ever build and hadn't been remodeled in 40 years. Damn it was BAD and the black hookers were working the street out in front of it. ( NO Roz I had my Wife with me )

LOL, I did a search for "Lock N Roll IGT I-Game slot" on Google's images search and look what turned up in row 43 !!
That was fast. (about 1.5 days - and it might have been much faster than that.)

I guess they selected Buzz's avatar because he's the one who typed "Lock N Roll" in his posts. CVslots and Slotsteve quoted him but they didn't make the cut. :72-

Are you using Quick Reply? Try clicking on the blue "Quote" or "Reply" button instead. (The "Reply" button is located at the top and bottom of each thread page.) You should then see an "Attach:" box below the main text box. Click on the "Browse" button to select the desired picture from your hard drive. Make sure that it isn't too large.

If that still doesn't help, you can upload pictures to any hosting site, such as tinypic, and then insert the URL here by either clicking the "insert image" button on the full reply/quote screen (second row, second from the left - under the italic button) OR by just manually typing the command yourself. It will look like this:
Code:
[img]http://YourURLHere.blah[/img]

You can also use this command to force a resize by manually adding dimension commands like this:
Code:
[img width=200 height=400]http://YourURLHere.blah[/img]
Use whatever numbers are appropriate. The command WILL stretch and squash images, so it's up to you to keep the aspect ratio correct.

Embedded images have the advantage of being displayed wherever you choose within your text.
Pictures uploaded to NLG have the advantage of being automatically resized for page viewing while retaining their full size when being downloaded by others.

Steve, I hope this helps.

Wow, so it's based on the old fruit machines of the 50's and earlier with some "Bally EM" style blanks, multi-line and hold thrown in. The last time I saw a game like that on a video was -- was... hmm... let me see... uh.... I think I had an AT computer (80286 processor).

:71- Yup, when I blow a wad of cash on a set of modern SIMMS and chips for a newer machine like the I-Game, I always want to see 25+ year old outmoded ideas! :25- :81- :279-

No wonder I couldn't find any pictures or videos of the game on the web.

Buzz, I'm guessing that you didn't even save the program before you erased them. (Or did you just for posterity?)

I did keep the files, if I had to feed them they would have been dumped but seeing as now stored on my hard drive doesn't cost anything I'll let them live a little longer.

I couldn't stand to play this sorry thing very long, but I'm pretty sure on the first spin you never win anything, I mean never, after your first spin you lock your choice drop in another 5 credits and roll. ( spin ) On the secoud spin you may win. It's weird to start the game you can hit MAX bet, but for the second spin MAX bet doesn't work you have to press SPIN.
