Title: New member here Post by: thompst on August 28, 2013, 09:46:02 PM I have a Bally Game maker with a bad CRT it looks like 13" its a slant top. It was built in 1998 I've heard Ceronix is the way to go but about $450- $500. I guess what i need is an LCD kit 15"? Anybody have a good P/N. I looked at the web site still not sure. But I want to make sure I get the right one.

Title: Re: New member here Post by: thompst on August 30, 2013, 07:42:10 PM I called Ceronix they are having a hard time finding an LCD for the slant top. Anyone know a good part # for an LCD upgrade for a Bally slant top its a 13" CRT monitor
Title: Re: New member here Post by: CVslots on August 30, 2013, 08:16:30 PM I can check for you, but won't have an answer Til Monday. Did they even make an LCD for a 13"??
Title: Re: New member here Post by: Neonkiss on August 30, 2013, 09:27:10 PM Ya, but in the flat LCD version it becomes a 15" monitor.
It comes with a new bezel and you get the bigger view. Title: Re: New member here Post by: CVslots on August 30, 2013, 10:57:45 PM Thanks Neon. I didn't think I'd seen one sold as a 13". Makes sense.
Title: Re: New member here Post by: azgamingslots on October 03, 2013, 08:11:03 PM i have replaced upright GM's with a ceronix monitor, and lisa is very helpful, she will take your order/ cc# right over the phone and rush the monitor to you in a protective Styrofoam box.
the kit is expensive, but well worth it, slides right in, and comes with a new bezel, makes the machine absolutely beautiful, more viewing space, consumes less power, less heat which extends the life of the machine. however if the old monitor is a tatung, -tatung in long beach ca used to refurbish the chassis -no more though. is the monitor dead or chirping? line on screen? if dead, usually the small 8-pin chip in the power supply is bad (or power supply board on some models) chirping, is usually caused by bad HOT transistor, vertical line across screen, -bad vertical sync chip (13 pin? chip in center of board with heat sink attached) however i would recommend you recap all the 100uf caps around the heat sink. screen stretched vertically is c-10 capacitor, .i have purchased all parts from ntk, however tatung may still carry some parts. -chev: (310)637-2105 -hard to get hold of anyone but be persistent... |
