Title: A few questions about my GK and the 044 MPU
Post by: vpguy on August 29, 2013, 04:13:51 AM
I've got a AVP machine with a 044 MPU with a flash board that has a bunch of games.  I installed a TITO board which works great!  The machine has tabs down the left side with vp, multi hand vp, STP, UX, slots, Keno.  I've really enjoyed this machine.  But I do have a few questions.

one of the games I play a lot is STP and the version on my machine is slightly different than the one I play in the casinos.  Some graphics, sounds, and the biggie for me is the speed setting.  My machine only has 3 speed steps and the game I really love has "turbo".

Is it possible for me to buy a 2nd 044 MPU and then load it up with that actual version of STP?  I'm not asking for anything that is not allowed here, I'd like to know if I were to get a board, is it possible to purchase the game.  Can someone fill me in on the basics of how you go about getting games for your machines.  Is it possible to put multiple games on a machine like my AVP?  Since my "turbo" STP in the casino is only STP, I'd hate to buy a 400+ board just to basically get one game, but it's possible that I might just do that in order to have the exact same experience, but would like to better understand how you put games on a machine.  Oh, my AVP has a flash board on top, so the only socketed chip is the boot, so that's my base of knowledge.  I'm completely computer literate and able to program eeproms.  Again, not looking to break any rules, just want to learn how these things are done.

Thanks

VP guy.
