Title: Programming Question Post by: gposing on August 31, 2013, 01:50:48 PM I picked up an S2000 and have a question about the button panel. It is a 20 line game. When I press any of the buttons the reels just spin. the number of lines or credits do not change. If I press the bet max I get 20 lines one credit. I did have to put a new battery on the board, did a clear, and used a key31 chip to program the slot. Also it has one of the enhanced boards where the SB chip is on the piggyback board. Thanks! Gary
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: CVslots on August 31, 2013, 02:59:13 PM Oh! Oh! I think I know this one! Isn't that called "Auto-Spin"??? Its an Option in your menu. Basically anytime you hit a "Bet x Credits" buttons, the spin starts. Please keep in mind, I may have just imagined this or dreamt it, and if I did, it's a pretty darn good idea!
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: gposing on August 31, 2013, 03:35:18 PM Well I had a few mins and thought I would try it out, but now I can't get the key 31 chip to activate so I can access the menu. No credits on the machine. Just my luck.
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Mirage_Chaser on August 31, 2013, 03:45:31 PM It could be that you have a senet error. Try it without the door io cards in and see if you can get into the keychip menu.
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: cowboygames on August 31, 2013, 04:42:56 PM Do you have credits on the machine? Key chip won't work if you do. Those multi line games are set up to spin as soon as you press a button indicating the number of credits bet per line. Just the way it is...
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Mirage_Chaser on August 31, 2013, 04:48:57 PM He said no credits on the machine.
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: cowboygames on August 31, 2013, 05:42:25 PM Missed that, my bad :30- All my machines start the reels with bet per line button press. Only spin setting I've seen is repeat bet for the spin reels button
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: CVslots on August 31, 2013, 05:45:46 PM Maybe it's called "Repeat Bet" then. That actually sounds more like it anyway!
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: cowboygames on August 31, 2013, 05:46:06 PM Your picture doesn't't show buttons for number of lines bet options :103- Does your game use an R board? If so the key chip you have shouldn't work. The R boards use an rbk clear/set chip. The reason I ask is because 20 line games generally use an R board
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Jimise on August 31, 2013, 10:41:06 PM That does seem weird you can't pick how many lines you want?
You do need the RBK00001 keychip to fix your button problem. (If you have the R board) I remember I cleared mine (changed it from quarters to pennies) and forgot to assign the buttons and they all did just 1 credit. Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Mirage_Chaser on August 31, 2013, 10:43:42 PM His button panel is only one row so it might not be an option.
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Jimise on August 31, 2013, 10:54:49 PM Yeah, Im not quite sure how that would work ?

Looks to have a factory cover over where the second row would have been. Was or is probably a penny machine and IGT decided it was going to be a twenty cent minimum bet otherwise the machine would never pay for itself
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: gposing on September 01, 2013, 02:05:08 AM I am not sure how I accessed the key config once, but can't get back into it. Here is photo of my board. I think it is an R board. I am using a 224 clear chip. What key chip do I need? Do you suggest I get the other 5 buttons and install them? Once I get this problem solved I will have to move on to the next one. System can not see the printer nor do I get any sound out of the top speakers. Could the wrong key chip cause that?
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Jimise on September 01, 2013, 02:13:43 AM You need a RBK00001 keychip. One of the vendors here will have one!

Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: gposing on September 01, 2013, 03:07:51 AM I found the RKB0001 and RB0001 being sold together. It has one less 0. I assume that would be the same. Also what is the RB0001 chip for?
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Jimise on September 01, 2013, 03:16:08 AM Where did you find them?

Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Jimise on September 01, 2013, 03:22:02 AM The RB0001 is the same chip you already have on your board.

Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: gposing on September 01, 2013, 03:23:59 AM I will have to see if he will sell just the rkb0001 since I would not need the other. Thanks. I would assume he is not up at 12:30 in the morning messing with slots.
Thanks again! Gary Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Buzz on September 01, 2013, 01:30:53 PM I found the RKB0001 and RB0001 being sold together. It has one less 0. I assume that would be the same. Also what is the RB0001 chip for? For your information IGT always uses a combation of (8) Letters and numbers. example SB001000, SG000363, DSV00042, KEY00031 If you ever see anyone of them with more or less than 8 didgets, someone wrote it wrong. I got this info from Capt Happy years ago. :95- :95- Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: gposing on September 10, 2013, 01:48:13 AM Well I received my RBK00001 chip today and it came with instructions on how to access the 3 menus, but i am not sure if I am doing it correctly. I did post pictures of my board earlier in this post. I removed the RB chip from the board, placed the RBK chip in, powered on and the 1 RAM menu came up, I pressed the service button until key chip was displayed. shut slot off, put RB back in, power on (leaving the door open) and the key config menu does not appear.
Also does anyone have more detailed instructions on the other options. i assume ram is for ram clear, but there is another option that I am unsure of. First slot with this type of board for me. another thing I don't understand is it has an SB001000 chip in it. with the other S2000 I have work on that chip is used when using an S+ chip. I don't see any other chips on this board. How does it know what game to play? Thanks Gary Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: crgadyk on September 10, 2013, 07:00:43 PM The R board is game specific. It knows what game its playing because that entire board is built for 1 game. I have a couple boards at home.. 1 is a 15 line Double Stars and the other is a 20 line Triple Stars. I haven't used them yet but they came with a couple MPUs that I bought.
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: gposing on September 11, 2013, 05:36:42 PM I figured out how to use the new RB key. You have to hit the spin reels button to select the menu item. :279- :25- :30-
Title: Re: Programming Question Post by: Jimise on September 12, 2013, 12:25:10 AM Did you get your machine all set up?

I feel stupid that it all came down to pressing the spin button. Thanks everyone!!!! |
