Title: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: wintersbk on April 01, 2009, 02:07:15 AM So I recently picked up a Konami Slot at a local auction. Seller agreed everything worked fine but when I got it home I am getting an error.
"928 - backup data error" Also, I noticed after I got it home, there is no Bill validator & it is a coinless machine. Any ideas? Is this a quick fix or a major problem? Here is a pic (not my actual machine but just like it) (http://www.azslot.com/goldtheatrsm.jpg) Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: jay on April 01, 2009, 02:44:52 AM Knowing nothing about the Konamii Brand I am not going to be much help.....(what a way to start a reply)....
However some kind sole :31- has left a copy of the GG9P1 Trouble shooting manual and the GG9P1 Setup manual in the Upload a new File area....(Button off the main page). The exerpt from the Trouble Shooting Manual for a 928 reads: 928 BACKUP DATA ERROR All Clear RAM procedure is required. Without either a DBV or a Coin In I wonder how you put credits on to it to play..... If its any consolation many people desire a coinless machine but they ususally have DBVs and ticket printers.... I guess you won't have any fears about being arrested for Illegal gambling...... :72- I am sure others will jump in here and help you out. Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: StatFreak on April 01, 2009, 03:06:02 AM Welcome to NLG wintersbk. :88-
It might also help if you post pictures of your actual machine, including the inside. Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: Slotmaster on April 01, 2009, 03:21:17 AM A clear requires a special clear key that are hard to find.
the error requires a clear as noted you can install a WBA SS-13 or 6607 as well as a MC-40 coin mech (both need a harness if removed) Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: whitehooptie on April 01, 2009, 03:45:36 AM I told you to call me Thursday. Don't forget. I've got that clear and as I said, not too many people have them. This is Brandon by the way. But don't feel too bad, a lot of things got stolen from other people at that auction. I wasn't happy with their service on checking people as they walked out the door. Hell, one of their credit card machines got stolen from in an office.
Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: whitehooptie on April 01, 2009, 04:05:57 AM And as they said, post a picture of the inside of the machine. I don't know if that machine was missing just the bill unit or the insert, cashbox, harness and bill unit.
And for the record for everyone before anyone thinks these guys were shady, I still kind of work for this guy. We bought some machines from a guy and some of them were not complete. As we were going to each machine (we bought a couple of 18 wheeler truckloads) we found what was missing and he was sending us parts. This machine and a few others, I never got to before he decided he was ending the retail side of his business. He liquidated EVERYTHING. Even down to the shelving. Some machines went cheap that should've gone for more and some went for a lot that should've gone for next to nothing. I'll tell you guys how screwed up this auction was. We had 2 arachnid dart boards and 2 valley cougars. The arachnids did not work and the cougars did. The Arachnids went for $100 a piece and he Cougars went for $40 and one went for $50. But my number was given to about 40 people or so and they all blew up my phone at once! I am trying to get to everyone when I can and am going to try to make what I can right. Even though I have another job working for an amusment park and don't really do anything for this other guy as of yet. When he gets his pennies collected and everything straighted out, he's getting back into just selling slots and maybe pinballs. So again, please no one bash as I am sure a lot more people will be getting on here having issues with the same stuff. If anyone comes across anyone on here that bought stuff from the same auction in Rockwall Texas, tell them to PM me and I'll get to them. Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: wintersbk on April 01, 2009, 12:21:03 PM Wow small world.
No intentions of bashing. I'm happy to get the slot just want to do what I can to get it playable. I'll give you a call on Thursday! Thanks for the reply & the help! Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: jay on April 01, 2009, 12:29:24 PM Whitehooptie,
On the Flip Side if you want to send people to NLG - we are all about pitching in and helping. We have many arcade people here too. Sounds like you have the right attitude to become one of our star contributiors..... I am not sure if we have any vendors that specialize in Konami Parts but things do tend to materialize just like the manuals...... Keep up the good work. Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: StatFreak on April 01, 2009, 03:45:19 PM Whitehooptie, good job coming forward and offering to help. As Jay said, by all means refer others here that need help with their purchases. If you have the time, any help that you can offer our membership will be appreciated. I gave you a positive karma.
Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: whitehooptie on April 02, 2009, 02:44:08 AM Thanks guys. It sucks being one person but hopefully most of these people will understand the situation and be patient with me.
Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: jay on April 02, 2009, 01:07:38 PM Being one person beats having 2 or 3 others fighting to get out...... remember the movie Alien..... just nasty creatures..... I lost interest after about the third movie... however AVP was pretty good
Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: wintersbk on April 09, 2009, 01:00:17 AM ok still working with whitehooptie to get my konami up and running.
looks like I need a WBA 12/13 SS ID 003. I've done some web searches and find a few links but nothing where I can be sure of what I am getting. So can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find one of these for sale? Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: stayouttadabunker on April 09, 2009, 01:38:55 AM Place a wanted ad in the "Classified" section on the home page....
you'll find the classified section under the "Forum Index" button. I'm sure one of our beloved NLG vendors will see what you need and respond to you! Remember, these vendors are your friends and they want to help you get what you need... :89- Here's a link to that section of NGL>> http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?board=5.0 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?board=5.0) Go to the right and make a "New Topic"! Post by: whitehooptie on April 09, 2009, 02:13:12 AM Unfortunatly, this is why the machine was never fixed. The guy we were dealing with is great as far as helping and such. But a little slow on when he ships parts. Alot of times, he'd say it shipped today or yesterday. A week later goes and nothing. Believe me though, I'm blowing up his phone.

Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: blueridgeslots on April 09, 2009, 10:57:46 AM I may be wrong but looking at that plug in the back it appears to be for an WBA 10/11, a close up pic of the connector would solve that

Title: Re: Konami Golden Theater - error help ?? Post by: whitehooptie on April 17, 2009, 10:35:02 PM Yay! The back plug is broke though. I had to pull the whole shelf out and install the bill unit that way. As long as it doesn't come out, it should be fine. I'll try tp snag one off of one of my IGT machines and put in its place.
