Title: Alpha Reels - Upright vs Slant
Post by: CVslots on September 05, 2013, 02:34:55 PM
Does anyone know off-hand if reels for an Alpha slant/sit-down are different than an upright?

We are having a payout problem that looks to be related to the alignment of the 2nd reel. Similar to what occurs in IGT machines when slant top reels are in an upright machine.  Upon inspection  :209- :209-, reel 2 is different. I don't know if its just a different year or revision, or if it is perhaps from a slant.

Can't you do a reel test under diagonostics and confirm the feel positions?

a slant would have a pay line in a different spot then a reg upright  aren,t the slant top reels on a tilted shelve?

The machine is a customers machine. We never noticed anything out of whack, but didnt play it all that much. I have some pics to support the wacky pays. Let me see if I can get them uploaded here. Hopefully you guys can see something I'm missing.

I believe the reel in question has a slight alignment issue. The reel strip sits about 1/4" lower than the other reels/reel strips do, but I'm not sure this is causing all the screwy pays.

Ok, then they can't be slant reels....cross that off the list.

I was wondering because of the wacky pays...

Are you sure the strips are on correct reels? Correct order.
Did you do a reel alignment? When you do the reels on screen & reels should have same symbols.

Machine is not here....can't do reel alignment. Well, without walking someone through it over the phone. Will do it if I have to.

Let me check my pics and check the reel strip order! I like that one!

Sorry, we were moving some games around (well, Darrell was, I was standing in the way, as always) and now it's dinner time. I'll get the pics for you guys ASAP.

Thanks!  :131- :131- :131-

Fantilusion, you emailed me about only 3 reels spinning. Do this & 5 should work.
For your reels
turn key on side
go into diagnostics in menu
game diagnostics
reels
That should make all 5 reels work

DISREGARD - i UNDERSTOOD YOU HAD A 5 REEL GAME.

Game must be set as a Single denomination, for the Progressive

Progressive Options
– Internal/External Seven Level Progressive
° Level 1 2,000 ° Level 2 700
° Level 3 80 ° Level 4 40
° Level 5 20 ° Level 6 8
° Level 7 4
*Total Bet × Denomination

So level 1 would be 2000 X Denomination X Max Bet

Example would be 2000 X .01 X 125 = $2500

i alway put single denom
so for me level 1:
0,20cts cause i cant put less
2000X0,20X3*= 1200$
3 it max credit per ligne
or
2000X0,20X0,6*=240
0,6 it 0,2cts X 3 credit per ligne
?

Ok here we go with the correct information for the software you have, this is why I always ask for the software version as the -00 & -02 are the same but the -01 is completely different

3 Reels, 1 Lines, 3 Credits Max Bet
Lines:1
Credits:3
Single Denomination
Denominations Available: 20¢, 25¢, 50¢, $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $25, $50

Recommended Configuration
1 Line, 1 Credit per Line, 3 Credits Max Bet, 25¢
• Progressive Options
Internal/External Seven Level Progressive

Level 1=10,000 credits
Level 2=1,000 credits
Level 3=400 credits
Level 4=100 credits
Level 5=60 credits
Level 6=40 credits
Level 7=20 credits
*credits × denomination

The Level 1 Award occurs every 222,566 plays.
• Mystery Multiplier

The Mystery Multiplier symbol multiplies the winning combination from 2×−10×.
• Power Progressives Bonus Feature

When the Bonus Feature symbol appears on the centerline on reel three, one of the following three Features is triggered randomly:
°
Power Grid
— Players start with three picks and choose tiles.
They may accumulate credits, move up a Progressive Level or obtain extra picks. When no picks remain, the player receives the sum of the credits plus the Progressive Level.
°
Power Switch
— A board of six tiles will be shown and the player chooses a tile. They reveal a Move Up or Collect.
If they reveal a Move Up, another board will appear and they may now also reveal Move Down and Collect or choose to Collect and end the Bonus round.
°
Power Spin
— The player will collect the final Progressive Level that was achieved by the spinning of the virtual reel.

Same configuration for the Progressive Level 1 10,000 X .20 X 3 = Euro 6000

Ok, just a follow up to my initial problem of the payouts not being correct. We got the machine back to check it out. Reel strips in correct order. But a different model # of reel and reel control board was used on one of the reels. The reel control board plugged in differently than the 2 correct reels. A reel calibration and reel test showed the reel to be incorrect. We changed the reel out with another (reel control board and all), and all reel test and calibration was correct. Since original reel was backlit and replacement was not, moved backlit assembly to replacement rell, and Voila! All fixed.

Not sure if problem reel was out of a different model or ???
