Title: S2000 handle issues Post by: sturgeongeneral on September 08, 2013, 06:36:25 PM My 16 inch S2000 has issues with pulling the handle. It "locks up" and if you play with it the handle will finally pull. It seems like an adjustment issue as if you hold the handle from going all the way back (just slightly) it will work again. Also the solenoid for the reel stop will stop working when the handle "locks up". When you free the handle the reel stop solenoid works. Does anyone have the adjustment procedure for the handle? It seems like an adjustment issue but I am still kind of green on these. Thanks for the help!
Title: Re: S2000 handle issues Post by: cowboygames on September 08, 2013, 06:44:51 PM Could be a sticky solenoid, could be a solenoid that's going bad or could just be a bad connection on the wires that power it. I'd take it out, check the two wires to make sure they have a tight, clean connection and make sure the post in the solenoid slides up and down freely in the body of the solenoid. If it's just sticky a little cleaning with steel wool should fix it. If the solenoid coil looks like it's been really hot and/or is deformed this can cause the unit to fail or the post not to slide freely creating the problem you are experiencing
