Title: electronic schematic of a replacement for the IGT hopper Post by: badbaud on September 10, 2013, 02:20:02 AM This will probably work for the PE+ pokers also. See attached.
I have seen various attempts to create a coin less hopper substitute for the IGT machines. We have one that has an enlarged pinwheel with notches cut into it. the motor runs and the notches spin around. Another one was a pinwheel that had metal standoffs with a coin screwed to each standoff. What prompted me to come up with this design was a customer that only had 20 coins in their hopper and called us because of a empty hopper tilt and a 800 coin payout. The coins were funny sized tokens and we had to catch the 20 coins, open the door, throw them back into the hopper, close the door multiple times before the payout was complete. with this box you simply remove the hopper and plug it in, let the payout complete then reinstall the hopper. Some people don't want to deal with coins at all. A bill validator and no coin in casting or acceptor. This box works fine for that. Give it a try and give me your input.
