Title: Slot Tech Ingenuity Post by: CVslots on September 10, 2013, 01:40:45 PM So....had a customer with a sound issue on an S2000 he purchased on eBay a few years back. Although he cannot remember (or wouldn't give up) the name of the seller, he said it was a slot company in Ohio. Anyway, he wasn't getting any sound from the speakers. Said it had worked in the past, but always had static, and asked if we could fix it.
Take out the top glass and look what we found.....Guess whoever shopped this one didn't quite understand the S2000 sound system/components, so decided just to re-engineer it instead. The 3 pots were soldered inline to the speaker wires and sound harness. The pots controlled left volume, right volume, and balance. You should have seen the customers face when Darrell started yanking out all the speaker wires! :72- Installed a new sound harness and customer was good to go with nice clean sound...that he could adjust without removing the top glass!!! Title: Re: Slot Tech Ingenuity Post by: Buzz on September 10, 2013, 08:25:16 PM PB I would agree but Bunker doesn't use a cabinet, his s**t is spread all over a work bench. He does that because he's cheap and doesn't have to buy any glass.
Roz What do you think, I'll bet that home owners finger prints were all over those pots. A slot dealer isn't going to go to all that trouble.
