Title: From the "Just Bizarre" file and unfortunate too Post by: uniman on September 18, 2013, 09:52:05 PM Saw this in the morning and thought I would share since it is so wierd!
Put the dog out in the backyard @ 5:30am and went to sit on the porch glider. Saw something on the cushion and turned on the porch light. There was a bat on the cushion. But something wasn't right. A closer look revealed a pistacho nut in the bat's mouth. And the bat was dead. :103- Don't think any rabies involved here. My best guess is someone threw a pistacho up in the air, at the bats, and this one grabbed it thinking it was an insect. His bottom jaw was stuck in the opening of the nut and top jaw on the shell itself. Looks like he couldn't breath very well and maybe choked on it as he had chewed a little of the inside of the nut with his bottom jaw. Carefully disposed of him. Just freaking wierd! That's funny Jay! First thing that came to my mind when I found that bat was The Godfather and the horse head.The pistachio did not get a proper burial and was not eaten.
