Title: S2000s were produced when? Post by: DoubleZero on September 19, 2013, 03:04:59 AM General question: Does this site have a definitive timeline of machine models (order of models produced by year) for each manufacturer?
Specific question: How long did IGT produce the s2000? Between what years? Title: Re: S2000s were produced when? Post by: Bettor Slots on September 19, 2013, 11:41:06 AM I've had S2000's in my shop as old as 1998. I believe they stopped production in 2009.

I didn't realize the 2Ks had such a long run. This info is helpful - thanks! Title: Re: S2000s were produced when? Title: Re: S2000s were produced when? Post by: Foster on September 20, 2013, 05:46:27 AM 1998 until sometime in 1999 they are not known as S2000 they where known as Vision Ready(if they did not have a vision theme) or Super Stepper (per the name on the MPU 501 - 504)
IGT changed the name to S2000 along with other changes (the speaker ears being the most noticeable) in 1999 for 2000. I have seen minor changes to the S2000 line like the additional power dist board in lower cabinet, lower speaker connector change My S2000 looks like any other S2000 with the printer next to the third reel but it is not a S2000 cabinet, it is a vision ready from January 1998 (cant be done without modifications) Title: Re: S2000s were produced when? Post by: CaptainHappy on September 20, 2013, 07:41:04 AM This date topic has come up in the past. I have a machine that is dated from 10/97, and I do not remember in the previous topics if anyone had any of the S2000/Vision Ready that had an earlier date???
