Does anyone know how to set up a Phat cats slot machine or know how to wire them to the exsternal computer.  thanks.

What issues are you having? We don't see a lot of paired machines on here so it may be an experience for all concerned. Please list any error codes you are getting g

When I turn them on all they do is light up and nothing boots. They don't even cycle when I close the door.  Not sure if I have to pair them into the computer. I think the computer only controls the lcd on top. Not sure...these machines are new to me.

What's inside them? Do they have the common S2000 MPU boards? What chip sets are on the boards? Maybe post a couple pictures of the inside of the machines and the boards. You might check the cmos batteries while you have the MPU's out also. Some of those AC coin machines sat stored for a while after the company went out of business

Maybe I have the eproms installed wrong??? Also it came with the computer in photo that sits in the machine.

Since the MPU is the enhanced IGT version I would guess it uses an R-board.
Your MPU does not have any game chips.

What ^^^ said, no software in the slot cpu.

Also you should check the Varta green battery and see if it is dead or the voltage is too low,  odds are it  needs to be replaced.  Enhanced boards are famous for dead battery's.

But with no operating software it's all irrelevant. What are the chances of even finding the boards to run the game? Have you started it with that CPU running? Maybe that's an AC coin operating program for the IGT software that's mission g on the MPU boards. I'd be for getting a hold of the seller and saying WTF

we were offer some ac games from a big seller we passed  , lets hope he didn,t get these from the guy on ebay that was selling them as new,

I thought pic 3 would be the software board. Its the one that contains all the proms. maybe I am wrong. If someone would have a picture of the correct wiring  that would be helpful.  Thanks

no your missing a sub board in pic 4 that's where the s/w should be      , did you buy these working or as/is complete?

What have you done as far as checking all cmos batteries, connecting that computer and what not to try and get those going? I think it's a better than fair possibility that AC Coin may have used that computer as a substitute for the IGT R board and software though the machine would probably still need the IGT MPU for overall operation of the system. I guarantee you I don't know how the relationship between IGT and AC Coin was set up though so I could be completely off base here. As it is you got nothing but spare parts to sell or use for other things so it might be worth looking at all possibilities

one thing for sure in 1st pic the big chip isn,t the right one or its turned wrong  or goes in #2 machine   , you can tell by the tape on it might not make a deference ,  but the tape  don,t match on 1st chip   like the other 2 , we got a load from a casino that pulled chips and simms its been 3 years we are still looking for chips for the chicken games and turkey shoot simm

I'm pretty sure that the CPU is for the graphics used on the large display above the 2 machines.  Sometimes these are just attract graphics, while other times they also have progressive data.
The other board that you showed looks like some of the other AC coin bonus device boards that I have seen.  Although your machines do not seem to have a bonus device, it could possibly trigger some kind of bonus on that large screen.  From what I know, AC coin made the software for the bonus devices and worked in conjunction with IGT  on the Stepper Game and base chips as well as the sound simms.

Your either missing an R board or a legacy board with Stepper Game chips, base chip and sound simm installed on it.

I concur with Forrhouse, that upper board is more than likely the controller for bonus/attract programming in the top box.

I was thinking that the S2000 machine portion on the bottom may be a clone of a regular S2000 theme so I Googled and found this information:

So you may find the software from one of our vendors for the base machine functions, be it an "R" board, or a legacy adapter board with the software. I am not sure about the interface to the Bonus up top, but maybe that is just the computer unit as others have said???
