Thats a CDS unit and as far as I know they use standard LCD's. Dont recall ever seeing instructions for those but if You have the gear read the eprom from the control board and see if You can find text blocks. Alternatively you can dump the controller and use a arduino or another micro to drive the display. I posted some code here for amicus controllers http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=24900.0. The board that has the chip you are looking for is under that blue daughter card in your photo. It's a 28 pin eprom. See my photo below. It's the eprom without a label it. That board is the only part of all the mess of boards that's needed along with the power supply and the cable that goes from the board to the display.

chips are different. The one with the label is a AM27C040 and the next to it without a label reads Samsung 049, KGT 1008C2E-0870, 132177E Korea. I tried reading both but no luck. It is the AM29F040B with the label over it. There is no 27C040. I read the AM29FO40B with the label over it and now it reads all 00s.
