Title: Whats the purpose of that 32 leg single eprom in the bottom of the MPU? Post by: slotsx2 on October 01, 2013, 05:25:44 PM Am getting Door error message on 3 machines so I tried the MPU from one of my working machines. I decided to put one of those machines back together, now it wont boot up. It goes through the motions then the red light on the mpu goes out and it just sitts there forever, spinning its reels, just like the ones in my garage!!

My Thoughts.... Turn Game on and GO AWAY from machine for 15 minutes, all the times you have posted you seem impatient, it take 9:45 to 13:30 (Min/Sec) to boot using the older processors. Every new Bally Alpha owner thinks it is a problem, it is not, I know you have had others and I know you have a 1GB board that is faster but that is not what you are trying now if you have a 32 pin Bios. also the Bios and OS must match as well as the Clear to the OS. My thoughts are that the Alpha is a disaster of a platform for you because you don't take peoples advice. This is from your previous post of going to scrap game after changing every part and doing the same exact thing as it is now, just power it up and walk away from it go get a drink at the store and see what that does for you Title: Re: Whats the purpose of that 32 leg single eprom in the bottom of the MPU?
