Title: What do I have? Post by: Big Ed Deline on October 12, 2013, 12:21:05 AM I bought a mini progressive meter from a guy on eBay. Add said it was a mini photon. However in all the talk I see out here mini photons have dip switches. Mine does not have any switches. It says "7 segment progressive" on the board. It also has copyright 1997 by IGT assy. Any one know what I have?

The Mikohn versions most likely has DIP switches. Can you post pictures of the progressive with a decent closeup of the board? Title: Re: What do I have? Post by: Big Ed Deline on October 12, 2013, 11:44:25 AM Thanks for the reply Foster. Here is the best pic I have right now.
Title: Re: What do I have? Post by: cowboygames on October 12, 2013, 11:55:43 AM I just gave away 2 of those. They hook up through your netplex system and setup is through key chip menu 7 under progressive. Easy on a single denom game. Pain in the butt on multi-denom
Title: Re: What do I have? Post by: Big Ed Deline on October 12, 2013, 01:46:43 PM well this is a multi denom machine I am working on... but I only play it in quarter. When you say a pain to set up multidenom... do you mean a pain to even get it to come on? or a pain to get it to work accurately with each denom. At this point Id just like to see it light up. This guy charged me about 30 bucks for it, so I was hoping it at least worked.
Also when should I see it come on? I hate getting all the way out of the key chip menu only to have to chip it again. Should it come on before I ever leave the key menu? Title: Re: What do I have? Post by: cowboygames on October 12, 2013, 02:12:29 PM It's just a lot more settings because you have to set a percentage for each denom as far as how much of each bet goes to progressive. It's been a while but I think you set the initial jackpot amount for each denomination also. I'm sure it gets easier the more you do it, but that initial setup the first time I did it was time consuming and it was the last time. Novelty of it wore off quick for me
