Title: Bally 6000 Missing Tone
Post by: jdkmunch on April 09, 2009, 05:12:54 PM
The game that I have is 5 line.  When I put in 5 quarters the machine goes -  ding ding ding ding dink -

Ok here is the problem when I press max bet I only hear the first 4 tones (ding ding ding ding).
Should it be like this?  I find it satisfying to hear the 5th tone.  (call me crazy I know)

Thanks

dinkless

Not having a bally I have no idea but on that series all the noise is electronic....
Perhaps it means its ready to play and the sound of the solinoid unlocking the arm is playing over top of the last clang....
Do you have other game kits you could compare the last coin drop with ?
Your probably on the right path asking others if theirs does the same.....

Suggestions from the peanut Gallery.....
    Stop using wooden nickles.....
Get a 3 coin kit and the problem will be solved......

I just got the machine and was curious.  I don't have any other 5 line kits to compare it with.

jd aka dinkless,

I just fired up my 5 line hot lines, and it goes ding, ding, ding, ding, and ding, using the max bet, each coin, and bet 1.  Maybe you need to push the max bet button harder to get the last dink.................... :97- :97- :97- :97- :97- :97- :97-

Oh, I HATE getting in on this....lol

It's possible that dinkless is missing the last dink because the chips is missing a dink in it's dink collection?

Not only that but he has a dink, the last one. He wants to be dinkless and have five consecutive dings, so he is striving to be dinkless!!  :97-

It is unusual right? All dinking aside...  There should be 5 tones for max bet.

my theroy is that it still is a dink but it is being covered up by the sound of a solinoid or other noise engaging with the last coin.l

Perhaps you could get someone else to drop the coin and you get your ear down at dink level and see if its one noise or two.....

I had some friends over and they all heard 5 dings, not dinks.  Maybe I could record the sounds and you could play it everytime you press the max bet button.

Jay there is no other sound - this is a bally with a sound board so it's all digital.  The sound is quite nice too

There are many different sound chips  or programs for the flash boards, your game may have been converted in the casino without the sound chip change.  Is your sound board a flash version or does it have a socketed 8 meg chip?  if it has an eprom, look at the number on the chip and let me/us know as well as the theme of the game.

Thanks,
