Title: 5R LED reels stay lit constantly??? Post by: Harvs on November 05, 2013, 11:33:12 AM Hey Guys,
A buddy installed a set of 5R's LED, with the back light control board and enhanced MPU. This set up worked perfectly in my machine but in his the reels just stay lit the entire time. His I/O's are the same (non-enhanced 200). I have not been able to get there to take a peek at his set up, but seems it is an easy fix? Any ideas on what the heck is hooked up wrong? Anyone else have this prob when swapping bulb reels to LED? Thanks, Harvs Title: Re: 5R LED reels stay lit constantly??? I basically handed him the tray with reels, harness (still attached to the reels) and controller that was in my machine. Along with the exact enhanced MPU (with R board), and mother board. I did not give him the I/O harness, or any I/O's, but he said they were the same.. They ran his 5R bulb reels fine.. Gotta be something simple..Title: Re: 5R LED reels stay lit constantly??? Post by: cowboygames on November 05, 2013, 01:27:07 PM The IO boards shouldn't matter. Unless he plugged something in with the power on and damaged the board you might have him clear chip the machine and try setting g it back up. Tell him to be sure he got all backlight control plugs in the right sockets also

Post by: PEGASUS on November 05, 2013, 05:49:51 PM A cpu that is out,not seated etc. can cause this, reel lights will burn at full power. Does the game function correctly, Just the lamps are at full brightness?. I would be looking for a leaned over pin on back of cpu/processor and chk the real harness pins/connector where it seats into backplane/motherbord. The enhanced connector on backplane is stiffer than a reg. 960. Also the backlit controller is diff for led. Itwould not have all plugged in though if it were wrong on the controller. --B.

I will relay this info to the guy that has the machine. Thanks!Title: Re: 5R LED reels stay lit constantly???
