Title: IGT s+ button acting up
Post by: xpoc454 on November 13, 2013, 11:55:22 PM
I have an S+ slot machine and the play 2 credit button seems to be failing.  To get it to function, you have to push it hard or one of the corners of the button.
I have taken the button off of the machine and looked at it. The button seems to be just a spring that pushes a toggle on a separate electrical switch.

It seems the electrical switch may be failing. Is that normal after a lot of uses.  The button works with normal pressure I would guess 60% of the time. The other 40%, you have to hit the button a couple times are hit it harder.

I also noticed that the other switches on the machine look identical to this one.  Is this true? If so, can I swap the electrical switch of the bet 2 coins with the switch for change?
I am guessing that switch has a lot less wear on it and I don't think I ever use it.

thanks

jim

Yep, just unplug the light socket, light and the switch and change them out.  Just pull
8, 9 & 10 as shown on the drawing. You can purchase
the whole button assembly pretty cheap from any of our venders.
