Title: What is this thing???!! Post by: SolidSilver on November 18, 2013, 12:04:33 AM Pictures someone sent me of a 3-reeler for sale that takes money (dollar bills & quarters) and apparently
dispenses gumballs or the like. Apparently, there's always a winner, but the number of gumballs or whatever dispensed varies like the size of a payoff. And, there's a "Stop Reel" button. Looks like something very carefully designed to be a "non-gambling device." Lots of plastic, so it can't be that old. About 3 1/2 feet tall. No manufacturer's label visible, or any other indications other than the pics you see. Say's it works like a champ, but seems to pay off too much (?!) Anybody know what this is? I think it's cool, but it's not a slot machine, it's more of a Gumball machine with reels. Pretty unique though. Don't know what's with the chihuahuas on the reels (or the milkshakes/drinks, looks like a restaurant thing to me, but who knows)!!
If it works perfect, probably worth $100-200. Who knows? But you need to keep the end user in mind. Not a machine that's gonna have a lotta resale value, but could be loads of fun for the kids. |
