Got this from my youngest daughter today. 

That's pretty cool. As most people, hopefully, know this is a true story I have often wondered
what would Thanksgiving be like today had Ben Franklin prevailed? After all, killing the National
Bird is a Federal Offense.   ;)  (perhaps we'd all be eating  :76-  :25- )

Maybe bald eagle or CA condor, probably all tastes the same.

So what's everyone's go to dish for T-day? Besides turkey???

I'm eating at Rainforest Cafe for T-Day as I had promised my kid a trip to the House of Mouse if he achieved certain academic goals, always a good incentive for him because he made them happen.

We'll be on the road on thanksgiving day heading to Pendleton, OR staying overnight at the Wildhorse Casino.  Next morning we're heading to Portland, OR to a Pearl Jam concert!  Gonna be a kick ass weekend with my family!

Well, prior medical issues and plans for other family members have left Me and Momma high and dry, the first time in 33 years. So off we go to Four Winds for a relaxing day of slots and the Thanksgiving Buffet!

Happy Thanksgiving! I plan on being lazy/eating at home and my father-in-law loves video poker so you guys can guess what's gonna happen.... :89-

So, are we the only ones doing the whole Thanksgiving spread? Where you get up at 6:00am to start the make the yeast rolls and the pies? Then there's sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn pudding, gravy (good lord, dont forget the gravy) and not to forget the turkey and the ham? I love Thanksgiving as its such easy cooking, and easy cooking!

C'mon, I know someone's cooking it up for Thanksgiving!

I'll get to enjoy a FULL thanksgiving spread courtesy of someone who knows I'm very thankful for her cooking it! :20-)

We're hosting family and friends here at Casa Channel and I'm in charge of the meat. I'll be smoking 4 racks of ribs and a turkey breast. Mom is bringing dumplings and candied sweet potatoes. Mom-in-law is bringing the green bean casserole. My wife is making the rest.

We're inviting some friends over that have no family anywhere close to Dallas. Good friends should be included in family celebrations as they are something else we have to be thankful for.

That's awesome! That's what I wanted to hear! I'm nosy and like to know what others are serving that is not traditional T-Day fare...Chick n Dumplings, yum! ribs, Double YUM!

Turkey and dumplings! No chicken. :)

Sorry, when I think dumplings I immediately think Chicken. Turkey works just as well, I know I'll probably making some Turkey and Dumplings with leftover turkey!
