Title: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: Roninva on November 25, 2013, 02:13:47 AM Hey all
I just got a The Mummy Returns and when I bought it, it was working fine. Drove it home 500 miles. Before plugging it in, I readjusted the position of the small 7 inch or so LCD monitor since it was crooked from the drive. It wasn't working after getting it home, as far as the game portion. It was giving me messages but only blinked colors during game play. I took it out and put it back in and now it works, but the game play is really slow in bonus mode. Slow like 5 minutes to get through it all. When the display wasn't working, it was normal speed, just didn't say what was going on and no sound in bonus mode. Now things got worse. I unplugged it for a while, came back to it and now it doesn't even power up the game at all. The only power is to the service light in the bottom of the cabinet. Any starting point? Title: Re: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: Roninva on November 25, 2013, 02:46:28 AM I will try that, but what is odd is that it was working until it was unplugged and plugged back in. I know it is getting power from the cord since the service light is on. Why it all stopped after plugging it back in is weird. I will try that, I know shipping loosens things.
Any clue where the fuse block is? Title: Re: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: cowboygames on November 25, 2013, 02:55:15 AM There's a circuit breaker on the power distribution board

Title: Re: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: Roninva on November 26, 2013, 12:21:49 AM Hmm, there is a black button or something, can't see the top to see if it is a 110/220 switch. Is that the resest? It doesn't seem to move and my head is too big to shove in there.
Title: Re: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: cowboygames on November 26, 2013, 12:39:49 AM That's the resettable circuit breaker. Won't move much unless it's tripped
Title: Re: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: Roninva on November 26, 2013, 02:55:11 AM Ok, it isn't tripped
:( Title: Re: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: Roninva on November 28, 2013, 02:02:49 PM Ok, so now what? Even the red light isn't on on that lower power box.
Title: Re: Power problems The Mummy Returns Post by: Buzz on November 28, 2013, 02:43:59 PM You know this box your looking at isn't the power supply. Power supply is located behind the reels. Remove the reels and you will see the PS, it slides in from your left to right, sometimes when transporting a machine it works loose if the holding screw wasn't tightened up. If the holding screw is tight and you wish to remove the PS you will need a short #2 Phillips screw driver. The holding screw is a pain in the A$$ because of all the wires in the way.
Just for kicks try a different wall plug !!! |
