What model of IGT ???

From a coin pespective the machines use a coin comparitor - you just need to have the correct sample coin and a hopper that will manage the coin size.

The bill acceptor is different - first off there are DBV's and WBA's
DBV = Dollar Bill Acceptor
WBA = World Bill Acceptor

JCM - Japanese Cash Machine is the manufactuer of both.

I believe you need a WBA for all non US currency. Pre- WBA days JCM had other acceptors like the CBA - Canadian Bill Acceptor.

The chip in the WBA (not just some code) needs to be changed for the unit to work with different currency's. Once this is changed the dbv just issues credits to the slot platform.

There actually is a company named CASHCODE www.cashcode.com that makes Bill Validators... not sure if you knew that or not? Also they are in CANADA!   Maybe that is actually what he is asking about, not JCM??

I have not seen an IGT machine with a cashcode validator in it, but IGT does use MEI CASHFLOW validators, that also could be what he is asking about. One model of MEI Cashflow that I know of for the US is the SC66.....

Hi There

Yep - Cashcode supports your currency. Not sure if it will fit in an IGT though.

Try this link http://www.cashcode.com/currency_en.html - Gives a breakdown of models vs currency.

Have not worked with these before but have heard engineering is very good. Not sure if it uses EPROM or flash but cashcode will be able to advise furtherTry their website as suggested by Captain Hapy. Had a quick peek and looks techy friendly.

Yes!,
I really like to hear how you can adapt a cashcode acceptor with a S+.
I've been wondering if and how I could do that because I have a couple of cashcodes laying around.
