Title: WTB
Post by: smileman83 on December 19, 2013, 11:07:38 PM
I am looking for the trim piece for a roundtop cabinet 17" that goes around the front top of the cabinet. Usually has a plastic chrome piece attached to a wooden frame that is screwed inside the arc on the top of the cabinet where the upper edge of the glass sits. Had one badly damaged.

I know the 31" top box had either gold or chrome trim but the I don't recall ever seeing a 17" with anything bit cabinet matching laminate. :103-

Have a 35ft roll of chrome from igt and their supplier.  The stuff is expensive and 35 ft will do numerous machines.  100.00 shipped.  No Not going to cut it off and sell like home-depot selling chain, rope etc. .  I do not think this is what this member wants anyway--- :103-.

I have come so close to trying some of this chrome trim on my S2000 round top.  I've always thought the round top looks unfinished.  I think the round top Game King/I-Games look much better than the S2000 round tops because they have the chrome trim.

I've seen these chrome trim rolls at auto parts stores.  Perhaps a project/experiment during the holidays.

The only way I've ever seen that molding is in t-lock style and the round top machines don't have the channel for it to fit into so if you use it you have to cut the rib off the back of the molding first then find a glue that will not only hold it on, but will dry fast enough to keep the arch from shifting while it dries. I actually got it done once with rubber cement, but when I went to pull the protection e plastic off the molding for some reason it wrinkled/pulled away the finish/plating. Don't know if the molding was bad or if the rubber cement reacted with the molding and caused it

The roll fro  IGT looks like the stuff. Must be very flexible to make that arc I would think. I dont want to spend $100 for this small thing.Perhaps Ill look at the auto parts store and see what they have. I  have a Vision roundtop and it has the black high gloss trim, but this game king has the chrome trim.
