I have a pretty extensive background in arcades megatouches 8 liners building and repairing but never ventured into slots.......I've seen a few IGT 3902 game king boards on eBay for sale ..... The questions I have for the igt gurus is ........... Can I buy one of these mobos and use my own touch monitor either happ lcd or CRT with microtouch overlay ????
Is the sound on this board or is that an additional board ??? Same for the I/O ?? Basically can I build a machine from the 3902 boards being sold ??? Or is the rest also igt proprietary ??? I'd like one of these but can't bring my self to spending $1200 for personal entertainment ....few hundred for boards isn't toooooo bad ..... And the rest of the stuff I have from megatouch units and so on if I could make it all work ... Unfortunately the touch Screen needs a controller that talks netplex which is specific to igt. Apart from that there are at minimum 2 IO boards required to get bottons working. There is also a seperate amplifier board and a meter board (Although that can be bypassed). Then You still need to make wiring harnesses to get it all working In short its not impossible but not recommended Regards Ian |
