Does anyone have the WMS 550 MC 40 coin comparitor harness that connects to the optics?
Upgrading from the CC16.

The MC-40 has built-in optics.  The cable you need actually by-passes the optics board pictured there.  You can make your own harness it is not all that difficult.  Here's a picture of the one I made up.  You basically unplug the brown cable from the coin-optic board and plug your harness to that and the MC40, by-passing the optic board.

I made the harness.
Its getting power and boots up with no coin errors.
As soon as you put a coin in it comes up with a coin error.
Any ideas?

Did you clear and select the mc40 as your comparitor?

Are you sure your harness is good?  I used two sets of black and white wires as it requires 6 circuits.  make sure you have the right white and black wires going to the right place.  The pictures show which black and white wires come out that are still inside the cable sleeve, and the two that are independent, make sure you have those right.  The optic board that was under the comparitor should be completely bypassed, so there should be no wires hooked up to anything.  It should work if your MC40 is known to be working.

Ill double check the wiring again.

If you get a chance could you take a picture or tell me the color code for each wire on the machine plug using my pin numbers for position?
