Title: Definition of Homebrew Post by: dcpyatt on January 10, 2014, 01:09:11 AM Would a build from scratch video poker or video slot fit the definition here?
I bought a 1982 Bally Video Poker machine at auction and my wife loves it, so I am working on building my own from scratch unit. I have a BB2 control panel on the way. I'm thinking of using a multi-coin acceptor so it would collect up all the stray coin so we could wrap and redeem it for other coinage or currency for the other machines... possibly set up with a nickel or quarter hopper unless I get a penny or dime hopper. Would love to make it "Penny Poker". Different games. DaveP in Ohio Title: Re: Definition of Homebrew Post by: jay on January 10, 2014, 03:50:42 AM Close enough....
You might consider looking at Cherry Master or 8 liner boards. There is one for almost any monitor dating back to CGA. Of course the better games / slots are VGA and SVGA They are designed to work with loads of different coin systems and hoppers. Probably best to google away on this avenue. From a home brew world - the PE+ has been emulated in Mame so you could build a PC into your unit and use actual PE+ roms for your games. :211- and keep us up to date as you build out your creation. |
