Yes, you need a Set chip to change the denom in the programming. I believe it's a Set015.  If they don't come with instructions, it's no biggie, we have them in the Download section here (they will be the same as anything sold with the chip, so don't get hung up on one including the instructions or not). It's a relatively simple process really.

With the set chip, you will be able to tell the machine it is a 50c machine, and it will give you 4 credits for $1, and not 2 like it does now.

You only changed the coin in the door I'm suspecting (well, and probably the sticker on the glass). That WOULD be all you need to do on a COIN ONLY game, but with a BV, you need to go into the program and set the denomination. The MPU doesn't care on a coin only game, as when a coin successfully drops through the comparitor and the optics, it simply registers one credit. It doesn't care if its a 1c or a $1 coin.

Just post a WTB for a Set015 and you'll be set (no pun intended). The Clear chip wipes the MPU clean and returns to factory settings and will have no affect on the BV. You DO NOT need to (nor is it advisable) to Clear the machine. A Set chip is used to re-activate your BV and also used to change the denom.

With the set chip, you will be able to tell the machine it is a 50c 25-cent machine, and it will give you 4 credits for $1, and not 2 like it does now.

Fixed that for you.   :71-
