From what I can see it looks like the correct plugs for Alpha.

So will it just show what on the video screen?

i saw that topper on ebay. i would buy one of those in a second if i thought i could get it to work somehow.

These will work so long as you have dual viedo set up and some knowelege.  These are expensive from Bally as most things are.  I have not seen what they were selling these for -would like to know as there are diff. sizes and types of these.   Sorry I am behind times on market due to Family concerns.

Went on flea bay and looked and found.  39.00 shipping is a bit much in my opinion.  The price was ok.  Some of these depending on type require a cf card and some do not-getting into bally cool sign stuff now.

I made an offer. See what happens.

I bought it. Hope I can get help making it work. I am guessing it plugs into the video monitor?? Or maybe it is power plug like the lighted bill stickers. What do you guy's think?

i was in mohegan sun today.  i saw those toppers on all the alpha2 machines with the iDeck.  im not sure if they will work on the original alphas.

I have two of these and have not got around to messing with them.  I have a friend in Texas and a member here that has and they can and will work on a reg. alpha.  Again there are diff. types of these,  Some take a cf card internal to the topper and some have a external componet box that houses the cf card.  There are small and larger versions of these. 

Did they show Game Title or was there something else on them? Barry, I hope you answer your phone when I get it.

all the toppers i saw looked exactly like the one you just bought.  they all showed animated versions of the game title. 

Cool. So everyone knows, I got it for $50. less. Total of $90. Hope it was worth it.

You can watch tv on it also with a external tuner/source!.   

Jim,  Here are some of the componets Bally uses for their signage and toppers.  I do not know which version topper you purchased but it was worth what you paid all day and night long.  A few pics.  Some use thumb drives to incorporate the program which also can be transfered to a cf if needed.

Dang, seeing those pictures make me think more $$$ to make it work. The picture looks like it is a video monitor. I have the Playboy game in mine. It looks like I will need a key component like the second pic. in your second set of pic.'s. I'm not finding any of these on this site. Found a pic. of the plugs and where 1 of them goes.

Jim,  All is good.  Some of the other members are laying back on this I guess,  As I said it will work with some work!.  I take all the heat while others hide-no prob. I did not tell you to purchase this.  It was however a good buy.  No Boat anchor and can be easily sold if you do not want it.  The Braniacks here would love to have it, So long as they have a Alpha to play with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

No problem Brother, I love a good challenge. It is for sure I will share this experience. If I have to ship it to someone so they can play with it to learn, it's OK. I figured with the price drop I could always flip it if needed. Hope it works on my Playboy. Sounds cool to have TV on it.

Thats it- Watch the super bowl and play the slot---You can actually do this once it is working using a splitter.  The possibilites are endless with what one can do with this topper.  You will have fun with it for sure.  Need a elvis quote but just blank now-- :5-.

I seen on Happ's website that they have something simular to these for 975.00.  Their's blows confetti from the top and has some diff. features. What did you play at casino?.  It has been a long time since I have been and there are about 30 of them within 15-20 minutes from my home.

It was full. All those games were full. I went on Hee Haw for a few spins.
Had $20 in free play coming. Used their money.

Blueridge told me they are for Alpha 2. Is there very much difference between Alpha and Alpha 2 ? Looks like I might need something from you 777. If it gets in the mail Tuesday, I might get it by Friday. Will let you know what is in the box.

Jim,  They were made and released for alpha 2's.  Did you see my pic. I posted for you?.  As I stated earlier in this thread these have already been adapted on reg. s-9000 alpha's etc. by other members.  The topper is nothing but a output device.  I do not know if you got the 18 or 15.  I think the 15's had a cf slot in them-not 100% sure on that but think so.  The 18's (what I have-larger) do not.  Still can use it no matter which one you have.  You can drive it as the article says numerous ways.  You can even provide it with your own viedo source of elvis concerts,playboy etc. if you get the idea.

Hey Barry, Here is the wiring for this thing. I am guessing the power cable here goes in the top box?

And more wires. Do not know where they go. The one is a 3 row computer type connector. Looks like the blue connector on your pic. 1660

Jim,  I need to get all my stuff out and play with it looks like.  The connector is for vga output (viedo).  Don't know your progress on this.  I had said you need dual viedo so that is why you may not know where to install it?.  What alpha do you have (I forgot) and what cpu do you have?-256,512,1G-? .  Next chance I can will try and play with what is here,  Had all this for a year now and have not got around to it.  My good friend that has done these is getting out of slots it seems.  

This is my first and only Alpha. It is a Playboy theme. I have no idea of the cpu. Everything about this is different than IGT
