Title: Casino Data Systems side mount player tracking boxes Post by: dcpyatt on January 19, 2014, 05:36:39 PM Does anyone know any technical specs on the stand alone Casino Data Systems player tracking boxes? I know they probably tie into OASIS/360, but first I need to know wiring info... otherwise they look like great candidates for Arduino upgraded controls..

DaveP in Ohio IGT S2000 Bally ProSlot 6000 Bally Series V video poker I'm interested in this as well.. I just bought a few player tracking devices from rudys slots and planned to try to interface with it. I don't need anything else right now and the shipping is a little more than the box itself pushing it to around $30 for the two. I'm going to experiment with the three I have and see where it goes from there. One of them may become a keypad/display for my jukebox I'm making.

CVSlots... yours has lots more goodies with it, but without datasheets I don't know if more it better :103- If we were attaching to a standard OASIS system that would be great, reverse engineering-wise I don't know...
I'm 1/3 done with breaking down the bare box... might take years to figure out how they did it in the real casino world! I'm figuring Arduinocizing them will be easiest if I can break down the parts to their low level functions. I'm an old-school hardware hacker... started playing with electronics about 42 years ago when I was 7... loved tearing into circuits and trying to make them do something they weren't supposed to do. Title: Re: Casino Data Systems side mount player tracking boxes Post by: dcpyatt on January 20, 2014, 07:05:20 PM After writing down the numbers on the label on the other chip I found that the display also has a HD44100H on it.
I removed it from the panel and found the pin numbers on the back side of the board. They weren't oriented in the way I would have guessed, so I'm glad I pulled it off before sticking on wires! I found the manufacturer's website for the card reader... I will be checking into that more in just a few minutes.
