Title: JCM DBV-145 help. Post by: rcoonjr on April 23, 2009, 05:10:23 PM I've got several of these units I want to get running to be used in a pinball machine or even video game. I've gotten a pinout from JCM. Got the acceptor to take money (crossing pin 7 and 10) but now I need to know how to get it to send a 'pulse' so the game or device can see a bill accepted.

Title: Re: JCM DBV-145 help. Post by: rickhunter on April 23, 2009, 05:51:30 PM You need to have the right software. I believe IDO 03 is the one used in vending equipment. We have a resident JCM expert here (OpBell) maybe he'll chime in.
Title: Re: JCM DBV-145 help. Post by: blueridgeslots on April 23, 2009, 07:40:33 PM Depending on the model DBV-145 (or 45) for pulse, there is some new $5 software available, such as the Cherry Masters or 8 liners, just not for gaming
Title: Re: JCM DBV-145 help. Post by: rcoonjr on April 23, 2009, 07:44:29 PM I hear ya. I wanna know what pin combinations do I need to make 'pulse' work. From what I see on the pinouts ... Pin 2 selects Serial or Pulse. ok fair enough. can't figure out for sure where to get the pulse signal from.
Title: Re: JCM DBV-145 help. Post by: stayouttadabunker on April 23, 2009, 07:52:27 PM might be a dip switch setting that chooses between pulse or serial....
I remember having to flip a dip switch for it to send out pulses on a video game once. I haven't a clue which dip switch though....try one at a time until you get it going.
