Title: RESOLVED -- Help needed with weird power problem on my 6000 Post by: JimSlot on January 25, 2014, 05:23:49 PM I turned my 6000 on today and it was dead. I check the voltage to the power supply and it was fine. I swapped the power supply out with one that I know works. Turned the machine on and nothing - still dead. I put the old power supply back in figuring it was a loose wire some where. I was going to check voltages in the machine so I turned it back on. The machine started up with no problems!!
Any idea what could cause this total power failure given the power supply seems to be OK (e.g. I check pins 3 and 11 on the right most connector coming out of the power supply and had 115 volts). None of the fuses are 'popped' Thanks, Jim Title: Re: Help needed with weird power problem on my 6000 Post by: DF777 on January 26, 2014, 03:00:00 PM If you are using the switch inside to turn it on you may have a bad switch or connection in that box.

Thanks for getting back to me. I found the problem - I gently touched the upper right circuit breaker and the power went on and off. The breaker was not popped and was pushed in all the way. I took the switch box out and put my meter on the circuit breaker and it was indeed faulty. Does anyone know if I should try to remove the single circuit breaker or buy the whole switch assembly. Also, I noticed that the circuit breakers on top were 2.5 and not 5 like the other 6000 I have. Jim |
