Title: Hopper Jam Post by: otto on January 26, 2014, 01:42:46 PM Odyssey video slot machine. It boots up, but gives me a "hopper jam" message on the screen. I have taken the hopper out (many times), made sure it is clear of anything. The motor shaft spins freely and the hopper goes round and round (Turned by hand). Hopper is firmly engaged in the connector (but even get the error message with the hopper out). Performed a safe clear/ reset the machine/ turned it off and on. I have the manual, but it is not very helpful in this case. I am at wits end....Anyone have a solution to the problem or a way to bypass the hopper...we use the bill acceptor only. Help me Obi Wan....you're my only hope!!!!

From Robert Winters excellent site that CVSlots has pointed out it looks like that machine uses a Asahi Seiko Hopper. Attached are instructions on how the microswitch on the hopper roller lever should be adjusted. Most likely the machine needs to see this switch as normally closed and should only go open once a coin triggers the roller. Hope this helps. Tried to register onto Robert Winters site..for me was like breaking into Fort Knox...never would accept any user name I put in...but will try again. Thanks again
