Title: How to splice a 15-pin VGA cable to RGB for IGT Game King Post by: 4 Deuces on January 26, 2014, 02:53:47 PM Using this thread ...
http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=12473.0 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=12473.0) ... I was able to power the LCD monitor and touchscreen. However, I have no picture. Getting out-of-box monitor message, "NO SIGNAL". I was, however, able to verify the touchscreen was working by navigating blindly (because I know where the menu buttons are on a Game King) and I could hear the corresponding button sounds. So, the only thing not working is the picture. Here is my question. When I pulled back the conduit over the green, red and blue wires, I noticed a smaller wire encased in outer wire. I "assumed" the casing wire was shielding, so I folded it back and didn't hook it up. Instead, I only hooked up the inner wire. Could that be my issue? Do I need to hook both of those wires together? Thanks in advance for your help! :131- :Dave :88- Title: Re: How to splice a 15-pin VGA cable to RGB for IGT Game King Post by: jay on January 26, 2014, 03:54:09 PM Its a sheilded cable.
You should ground the the outer sleave. Title: Re: How to splice a 15-pin VGA cable to RGB for IGT Game King Post by: 4 Deuces on January 26, 2014, 09:03:55 PM Thanks Jay! That worked. :259- :131-
