Checked the fuse, it was ok as suspected. So pulled out my ESR meter. Turned out to be one of the aluminum electrolytic on the LCD control board. a 10uf@16VDC. I'm gona look at the caps on a couple of mine that are washed out. The complete Assy is priced way too high and far to hard to find. From my notes, when the screen is washed out white but there is still light to be seen, then the CCFL is NOT the issue, as Montech confirmed with this one. I have noted to check that fuse for a white screen and the F1 fuse for a blacked out screen. |
