I have a igt s plus with a dvb now and would like to upgrade (if possible) so the dvb will accept the new style bills that have the color in them. The dbv spits them back now but takes the older ones. Thanks!! Title: Re: Newbie needs info for igt s+ DVB Post by: tjlee on January 29, 2014, 12:20:38 AM I think the S+ used a DVB200 validator and I think the DVB200's are either a flash version or an eprom version. Flash version requires someone to reflash the validator with the lastest version update. Eprom version can be upgraded by simply replacing the eprom in it with the newer version. I think the last software update for the eprom version is V3.75 and I am not sure what newer bills it will take. Someone on here probably knows what bills the last firmware version will take. Post a picture of the top and bottom of the validator and someone will get you going on this. It's been a while since I have work with these so I hope I am partially right on some of the above.

It's a 200-B023 Ver 2.33-04-03 B37B I don't know if it has a chip or has to be flashed. Like I said I'm new but understand to a point what to do with some direction. Thanks for the reply! Check out this post link as it shows the difference between a flash validator and an removable eprom validator. It's a stationary rom that's permanent. It's as good as it's going to be. It will take the "Big Faced" notes but it will not be able to take colored one's. I can hardly wait for the next crisis...... :137- Dave Title: Re: Newbie needs info for igt s+ DVB Post by: cowboygames on February 02, 2014, 08:24:47 PM The DBV200 is not upgradeable to the newest bills as it hasn't been supported by the manufacturer for a few years now. I believe you can upgrade to a WBA validator, but it is on the verge of being abandoned by the manufacturer also and as far as you can go on the S+ platform
