Title: Percentage Change Post by: jthelman on January 30, 2014, 03:16:59 PM My machine is Triple Cash Keys with chips SG000198 and VS011GXO.
I just received a Clear Chip IVC00224 and Key00045 chip with instructions. I would like to look at or modify the payout percentage. The instructions that I received with the chips says to use the Clear Chip “FIRST” then use the Key Chip. My question is do I need to do a Clear Chip first or can I just use the Key Chip to modify the percentage or denomination. Also if I use the Clear/Key chips and I change the percentage does it change any other parameters that I may need to correct? Just make sure credits are off the machine and Key it.. Once in, you can go to game selection and change the percentage. All other settings will stay as long as you don't accidentally change them.. Max bet a few times and you're good to go.I just received a Clear Chip IVC00224 and Key00045 chip with instructions. I would like to look at or modify the payout percentage. If change the demoniantion from .05 to .25 do I need to use the Clear chip or Key chip or Both? I usually clear 3 times and key when first building up a machine. So I rarely change that after, but I think you can just Key it if you are changing the denom HIGHER then what it was. Lower and you will need to clear if I'm not mistaken.Harvs Title: Re: Percentage Change Post by: cowboygames on January 31, 2014, 04:01:00 PM If it's a single denom capable machine you will need to clear it to change the denom. If it is a multidenom machine you can change the player denom higher with a key chip, but to change the player denom to a lower amount or change the accounting denom will require a clear chip first. Generally you can till which type of machine you have by looking at the VS chip number on the MPU. If it ends in 1 you have a multidenomcapable machine. If it ends in 0 then it's single denom. Or just look at the VFD display, the blue one on the reel glass, a split display with two lines of text indicates a multidenom machine
