Title: Correct Bezel Lights? Post by: SilverFerret on February 10, 2014, 05:28:53 PM I have a 17" Igame that keeps burning out all but one or two of the five bezel lights that are to the right of the monitor. I'm using Mirco Lites Inc. #159 lamps which only seem to last but a day or two. Right now only one is working.
Are these the correct lamps and my issue is elsewhere? Or having I been wasting money on the incorrect lamps? Thanks, Jim Title: Re: Correct Bezel Lights? Post by: Tilt on February 10, 2014, 06:27:31 PM Those are 6V lamps and you're supplying them with 13V, that's why they keep burning out. I replaced mine with a LED panel, but I think the bulbs that were in it were #658 which is a 14V 1W bulb.

I'll go get some now. Thanksagain, Jim Title: Re: Correct Bezel Lights? Post by: Tilt on February 10, 2014, 06:59:38 PM I found my old board. It had #161 bulbs in it. 14V 3W. Brighter than the 658's.

Thanks again, Jim Title: Re: Correct Bezel Lights? Post by: SilverFerret on February 10, 2014, 07:42:19 PM No, the light from them looked fine until they would stop lighting up. Frankly don't notice a difference in the amount of light as with the #658's that are in it now.
Jim Title: Re: Correct Bezel Lights? Post by: rokgpsman on February 10, 2014, 08:14:49 PM I would have thought with twice the voltage the lamp was made for that it would be a lot brighter and give off more heat. Title: Re: Correct Bezel Lights? Post by: SilverFerret on February 11, 2014, 12:10:30 AM I guess it may have been brighter than it is but nothing that stood out to me.
