On a non-enhanced board, where would you install a DSPL chip ?? Title: Re: dspl chip? Post by: vtyler on February 13, 2014, 12:23:21 AM thats my question exactly. we got in a machine that had the software pulled and sealed in antistatic bags. i noticed a dspl chip in the collection of chips and can only find that they are used in enhanced boards.

Post by: cowboygames on February 13, 2014, 08:04:43 PM As far as I know, the sole purpose of that chip is to work as a sound bridge on the legacy adapter board when using a sound simm. Have never seen it used elsewhere. Are you sure they sent you the correct SB and SG chips? You may have gotten a complete wrong bag of parts
