Title: S2000 Woes... Post by: mamepokerguy on February 17, 2014, 09:41:03 AM Hello everyone. I am a newbie with the igt s2000 machines but not to newlifegames...I've been fiddling around with megatouch and mame platforms for some time now and decided I wanted a slot machine. At first I picked up a igt spin luck machine, but quickly found out it is not a "real" slot machine. A couple of weeks ago, I finally got my hands on a S2000 upright..Triple Red hot 7s. Its a 5 reel with a 45 play 5C/10C Dem. Its in great shape.
After doing some research on this forum I quickly ordered a tito and installed it. :89- Down the line I want to change out the game base and put a 180 or 360 credit play and change the dem to .1/.10/.25/1.00 but anyhow, I had a issue last night for the first time with this machine and it has me wondering... I went to menards last night and picked up a wireless remote control outlet so I can turn on my machines with a press of a button...its rated for 8amps...should be good right? I installed it all and it worked awesome. After playing some red hot 7s for a while I turned the machine off and probally came back to it about a hour or two later and turned it on with the remote....then it happened...its like it got stuck trying to boot..all it would do would display the netplex is down (which it does every boot up) and click off (the vfd would go on and off) along with my ticket printer...and it would do this until I would shut it off...I decided to unplug my wireless relay adapter for the power and use the switch again...no change..it would keep clicking on and off. after a few times of turning it on and off it finally started up normally as I herd the bill acceptor go on. Would anyone have a clue on what happened? Thanks in advance. Tom Title: Re: S2000 Woes... Post by: rjpohl on February 17, 2014, 10:42:29 AM tom I would check the power supply mounted on the read wall behind the reels. Make sure it is seated good, push it to the right. There is a thumb screw on the left side, make sure it is tight. Also check to be sure the CPU board is pushed in and seated too.
